I gave up on remote flashes without TTL. These shots are done with natural light, just slight boost of fill light in Lightroom.

Tom made an observation to me about a green color cast visible on all or most of our photos taken at the Fat Tire Festival. I had noticed it too, but tyring to get these photos up as quickly as possible I ignored it. I have gone back and made some adjustments with Nik Software and these are the results. Peter

This is the first time I shot action.

I visited Boothbay Harbor on June 22nd for the Windjammer Days Festival. Mike Leonard from the Portland Camera Club had arranged a tour boat for us to photograph the schooners up close and under sail. There was a parade and fireworks also. Quite a busy day. Shot around 1000 shots so I had to limit what I put up.

I recently purchased a Rokinon 85mm f1.4 manual lens and wanted to try it out. These were shot at one of our Thursday night meetings in low light, no flash, and ISO 800 and 1600 with a Sony SLT-A55

Took a walk around the yard with my Tamron 90mm 2.8 and Sigma ring flash.

I started shooting back in December.These are some that I thought were keepers.

Some of these are older and I've improved on them.

A few rainy days at Vacationland Estates in Island Falls Lens used Canon 28-135 IS USM & 75-300 Canon No filters, just variations set on camera. Mostly taken in Av setting. I used jpeg this time but will move onto raw I think. Comments welcome.

Recent Tornado in Jacksonville ,NC This damages is only 1200 feet from my Brothers house. He had no damage and ended up helping with his heavy equipment to clear the roads.

It was snowing so I decided to try my hand at back lighting slices of fruit with different gels on my flash to see what I would get.

These are a few photos I did in the Caribou area of the Spring Runoff. I used ISO 100, high f-stops, and a Neutral Density (8) filter to get some longish exposure times.

Dave's wife decides it was time for a family picture, since our daughter was home from South Portland. So Dave drags out his studio lights and his backdrop and his new toy a Radio Poppers(great little toys they are!) and starts to shoot. These are the results

Some nice photos of families enjoying the snow. The temps were in the mid teens with a nasty wind chill but that just made the coca and smores taste better.

These are some photos I did in Portland in the early 90's before construction started on the bridge to replace the Million Dollar Bridge.

I just downloaded Lightroom 3 Beta and processed these pictures with it.
