Maybe it's better to rent then own

Have you ever needed a Canon EF 800mm telephoto lens but couldn’t afford the $10,000+ price tag or you want to compare a Canon 7D with a Nikon D700 to see which you like best, then maybe it’s better to rent first. Websites like Borrowlenses.com, Photorentalsource.com, and ProPhotoRental.com (among many others) have this equipment for rent for as little as 3 Days to as long as 4 weeks. And it’s not just cameras and lenses but tripods and lighting as well.

Canon and Nikon users have a wide selection of choices but Olympus, Sony and others not so much. Make sure that you read each sites terms very carefully before renting anything.
