By this morning our “late spring” storm was moving out. I wanted to get out for a good walk on snow shoes more then anything else, the heavy wet snow clung to the trees in such a beautiful way. I had several things to do before I could get the new camera out too and give it a spin.
I was interested in playing with some of it's “art filters” that have crept up Olympus product line into the semi-pro model the E-5. Not that I'm interested in using them regularly, but I want to know as much as I can about this camera. Like it or not these types of features are becoming more prevalent in some really good models. I picked out four shots just to make a point. You can see all of today's photographs "A Little Drama" under Galleries under CLUB MEMBERS.
More and more a photographer wanting to distinguish themselves will have to keep out in front of technology. The only real way to distinguish ourselves will be through constant personal improve. All the manufacturers will be putting into the hands of everyone, technology that allows anyone to do what was previously out of reach by most everyone but a Pro. A novice is now capable of producing Pro level shots with no knowledge or experience in photography or post processing. First it was film to digital and now “art filters” that the camera itself applies, just to mention two.
